  • 参数城市深圳研究工作坊简介 Intro

    研究意图 Research Intention:

    寻找深圳的核心参数,以多个评价标准来审阅并分析这些参数,并创建一个包含这些参数的“模型”,可用作未来城市应用和改善的依据。

    Find out the key parameter of Shenzhen, review with few measurements, analysis those parameters and create a model with those parameters for further urban application or modification.

     

    研究方法 Methodology:

    在选定的城市区域中分析研究城市片区中的地块和建筑体量、功能等方面的关系,进而得出城市地块划分的逻辑、不同建筑类型与地块空间关系的逻辑、以及城市设计尺度上建筑之间相互关联的逻辑。并以此逻辑来归纳和设计属于该城市区域的参数。以AD5墨西哥城研究为例示图如下:

    Analyzing relationship among plots, massing and program of selected urban area, and further concluding the subdivision logic of urban plots, special relationship between different type of architecture and its plots, and associative logic among buildings in urban scale. Then the parameter of certain city area can be concluded and designed. Take below images of AD5 Mexico City research as example:

    研究内容 Research Content:

    选择深圳主城区内不同用地性质的样品区域,包括办公用地、产业用地、商业用地、住宅用地和教育/文化类用地,并采用多个评价标准来分析。

    Selected sample zones of different land usage in Shenzhen metropolitan area, including office land, commercial land, industrial land, residential land and culture land, to be analyzed with few key measurements.

    在本次工作坊中,宛余老师带领学生们在深圳选定的城市区域中分析研究城市片区中的地块和建筑体量、功能等方面的关系,进而得出城市地块划分的逻辑、不同建筑类型与地块空间关系的逻辑、以及城市设计尺度上建筑之间相互关联的逻辑。并以此逻辑来归纳和设计属于该城市区域的参数。

    In this workshop, instructed by Wanyu, students analyzed relationship among plots, massing and program of selected urban area, and further concluding the subdivision logic of urban plots, special relationship between different type of architecture and its plots, and associative logic among buildings in urban scale. Then the parameter of Shenzhen can be concluded and designed.

    建筑师,荷兰代尔夫特理工大学-贝尔拉格学院建筑与城市设计硕士,小库科技CEO,未来建筑实验室创始人,科幻作者;过去期年间曾年担任OMA项目建筑师,《城市建筑》杂志海外编辑/特约编辑。她曾担任希腊亚里士多德大学任项目助教,四川美术学院客座讲师。亦在如香港大学、重庆大学、西安建筑科技大学、未来+学院等多所高校讲座、评图。长期以建筑设计及城市研究为题大量撰稿,并发表于多家国内外专业媒体。
    Wanyu He, Architect, Master in Urbanism and Architecture of TUD Berlage Institute, CEO of XKool Tech, Founder of FAL (Future Architecture Lab), Sci-Fi write; former Project Architect of OMA, Special Editor of Urban Architecture magazine. She has taught and lectured in universities as Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Hong Kong University, Chongqing University, Sichuan Fine Art University etc., and published articles about architecture and urban research in many professional medias.

  • 2017年3月,英国创客来自皇家艺术学院产品设计系的研究生Katrine Hesseldahland和Victor Strimfors来到深圳开始了为期三周的驻地项目,未来+ 作为东道主辅助项目进行。作为他们毕业项目的一部分,Kat和Victor主要以可持续分布式的家具制造为主题,以沙尾为主要据地,利用当地生产资源,快速实现具有深圳本土特色的可持续家具。

    In March, 2017, 2 makers from UK, master students of product design in Royal College of Art, Katrine Hesseldahland and Victor Strimfors came to Shenzhen and started their residency project. As the host in Shenzhen, Future+ surpport them with local resources. Katrine and Victor were working on a new model for sustainable distributed manufacturing of products. Based on Shawei and making use of local manufacturing tools and materials, they made sustainable furniture with strong local characteristics.

     

    家具的可持续化并非一个全新的理念,如何从全新角度切入,深入用户对其的理解,并且做到从生产到使用的可持续则使对他们而言的新挑战。

    Sustainability of furniture is no more a new point. But how to do it with a new vision, help users to have a better understanding of it and keep sustainable from manufacture process to user experience still remains a big challenge for them.

    项目进展可以说是十分顺利。沙尾,这个原本并不起眼的城中村,却因为“便宜制造”,集经济、效率于一身,意外的成为了设计师们的宝地。短短三周时间,Kat和Victor在沙尾一个地点实现了从所有材料采购到零件制造全流程,真正实践了设计到制造的可能性,使可持续设计不仅仅停留在理念阶段。

    Everything went so smoothly in this project. Shawei used to a common urban village. Because of its easy access to manufacture, cheap and fast, it became the dream place of designers. Within 3 weeks, Kat and Victor reached the goal from buying all materials to making the structure. They took a good step from design to manufacture, and made sustainable design more realizable.

    结合深圳的“创客与科技紧密结合”特点,Kat和Victor融合了3D打印、激光切割等技术与产品制造过程中,除了家具的生产过程,他们也考虑到用户的使用过程,为了深入用户对可持续化的理解,他们举办了尝试性的设计工作坊,让参加者体验通过已有零件DIY椅子的流程。

    Shenzhen's maker mivement is always somehow related to high-technology. Based on this fact, Kat and Victor corperate 3D printing and laser cutting etc into the product making process. They also paid attention to user experience. To help users better the understanding of sustainbility, they held a worshop "Build your own free chair" and let them DIY their own chairs.

    第二届“创客西游”——“你好,深圳!”是由英国文化教育协会、深圳市国际交流合作基金会和深圳开放创新实验室共同举办,旨在联系中英创客的双边交流项目。“你好,深圳”项目将为中英两国的创客实践建立强有力的联系,支持富有意义的合作并加深两国之间的学习。我们相信此联系将对两国的创客实践起到发展和借鉴作用,并激励创客们找到新的工作方式。

    The second "maker's western journey" fair

    "Hello, Shenzhen!" is jointly organized by British Council, Shenzhen Foundation for International Exchange and Cooperation, SZOIL in order to stimulate the communication between Chinese and Britain makers. "Hello, Shenzhen" project will establish strong ties between Chinese and Britain makers, supporting meaningful cooperation and deepening learning between the two countries. We believe that this relationship will serve as a reference for the development of maker industries in both countries, and will encourage makers to find new ways of working.

  • 工作坊背景介绍 Background Intro:

    如何深化农村改革是中国整个社会广泛关注的热点和重要议题,当前农村面临很多问题,但是当前很多思考停留在历史角度,聚焦在农业、原始环境和旅游开发潜力方面,并且大多数是修建道路和基础设施。开源村项目计划寻求全新的方式改造基础设施,我们试图通过互联网、开源硬件和数字化加工以及过往创客运动中的方式链接城市与农村。而开源村的目的是研究如何透过植入Fablab,对接全球的创意网络来进行农村生活的改善。

    Recently many have begun to look for ways to improve and invest in rural areas. But many are reflections of the historical views of these areas – focused on agricultural, rustic environments as tourism potentials, and all upgraded with better road and rail infrastructure. But what if we seek new ways of investing and new forms of infrastructure? We focus on bridging the cities and the rural area with Internet sharing, open source hardware, and digital fabrication that made popular with the Maker movement over the past decade.

    We can insert a Fablab with the facilities to generate smart objects, furnitures, etc and provides high speed links to the repositories of open knowledge and open source projects that have been generated around the world such as POC21, Wikihouse, and etc to bring the latest innovation in open source living to the rural environments.

    结合成员们的提议以及对新光村实际状况的了解,工作坊提出了与科技和水相结合的开源村庄方案,借新光村据珠三角,接惠州与深圳为势,有东江、水库等大量优质水源,’从水、农业、科技/文化三方面改造村庄现状。

    Combining participants' ideas and present facts about Xinguang village, we came up with this water-tech village idea. Based on its location in PRD, linking both Huizhou and Shenzhen, having easy access to Dongjiang river and resevoir, we want to build up this new village from water, argricultutre and technology/culture this 3 aspects.

    然而,开源村只有如今初期的想法还是非常不足的,我们的理念是通过互联网链接世界资源,将新的科技和点子融入村庄,并且建立可复制的模式。

    However, our origin idea is still, let's say, rudimentary. It needs surpport and polishing. What we want to do is to link the world resources through Internet and create a future village. Hopefully, it will become a new village model that people can copy in other rural areas.

    We are the first independent academy for urbanism, landscape, & public art in China. Our pedagogy emerges from the open innovation ecosystems of Shenzhen. The methodology of the PRD means designs and the city is made fast, tested and evolved. Traditional urbanism was about order; we embrace the unpredictable and the messy. This allows us to form a place for rapid response urban learning. We mine the gaps of the city to identify integral points for action. Our focus is not to instill a dogma but to facilitate individual’s learning ambitions. FUTURE+ is a hybrid research institute, think tank, and experimental laboratory. We have been formed by many of the same folks that set up and run the Shenzhen/Hong Kong Urbanism/Architecture Biennale and the Shenzhen Center for Design.

     

    深圳开放创新实验室​ SZOIL

    深圳开放创新实验室是由创客大爆炸和深圳市工业设计行业协会联合建设的国际创客开放平台和众创空间,也是深圳首家与美国麻省理工学院(MIT)的比特与原子中心(CBA)正式合作授权认证的Fab Lab国际微观装配实验室,也是MIT FabLab 2.0合作研发伙伴。

    深圳开放创新实验室主要包括Fab Lab推广及Fab Lab 2.0研发制造、创客创新创业教育、全球创客服务平台、产业链协作服务四个功能板块,致力于发展、挖掘全球创客项目及产品,研发解决方案来连接大规模生产生态系统和服务于小型硬件创业者;进一步推进深圳在数字智能硬件的开发和生产制造的国际地位,结合新的开源方式以及深圳现有敏捷制造系统,将深圳打造成为未来智能硬件的硅谷。

    Shenzhen Open Innovation Lab (SZOIL), established by SIDA and Maker Collider,is a space and platform for worldwide makers to communicate and cooperate. SZOIL is also the first Fab Lab in Shenzhen authorized by MIT CBA as a research and development partner of FabLab 2.0.

    SZOIL embodies four functions including Fab Lab promotion and FabLab 2.0 research and development, innovation and entrepreneur education courses for makers, global maker service platform, and industry chain collaboration service. The lab dedicates in exploring the issues and developing solutions to connect the massive production ecosystem to small hardware startups so as to promote the international standing of Shenzhen in the development of digital intelligent hardware and manufacturing and build a future intelligent hardware Silicon Valley by combining new open source method and current manufacturing system in Shenzhen.

     

    工作坊负责人介绍 Tutors' Intro:

    Jason Hilgefort - 未来+ 学院院长,Jason曾在英属哥伦比亚大学攻读建筑硕士学位。他曾在纽约(Ehrenkrantz Eckstut and Kuhn)、洛杉矶(Behnisch Architects)、孟买(Rahul Mehrotra of GSD)等地工作。曾经在俄罗斯、乌克兰、巴西、芬兰、德国、意大利、中国和荷兰任教。杰森曾在维也纳举行的第十一届欧洲青年建筑师竞赛上摘获大奖。他后来成立了Land+Civilization Compositions(以鹿特丹和香港双城为基础的工作室)。他是2015—2016深圳香港城市\建筑双城双年展 的策展人和当年UABB学堂非常学院的院长。此外,他还加入了FUR(未来城市区域)项目。同时,他也是是uncube 杂志“建筑设计和其它(architecture and beyond)”专栏的撰稿人。

    Jason Hilgefort is the Director of FUTURE+Aformal Academy in Shenzhen. He studied at the University of British Columbia and the University of Cincinnati. He has worked with Peter Calthorpe, Rahul Mehrotra, and Maxwan A+U. He lead Maxwan’s competition victories in Helsinki, Basel, Kiev, Brussels, Ostrava, Hannover, and Lithuania before winning Europan 11 in Vienna. Jason academic experience includes Russia, Ukraine, Brazil, Finland, Germany, Italy, China and the Netherlands. He was a sub curator in the Shenzhen|Hong Kong Urbanism|Architecture Biennale and a co-director of its learning platform.

    李大维从1990年开始参与开源运动。他是自由软件基金会会员,Apache多个项目的代码提交者,ObjectWeb开源基金会理事。在过去的20年里,他创立了多个开源软件项目,同时也参与了其他许多相关项目。李大维在2010年联合创办了中国首个创客空间——新车间。他还为Arduino开发了最为热门的可视化编程环境Ardublock。最近两年他开始关注城市农业,积极倡导“鱼菜共生”的养殖方式,把开源精神融入到农业艺之中。2011年,他与Anna Greenspan 和 Silvia Lindtner 一同成立了 Hacked Matter,研究和出版草根开放创新的议题. 在2015年和李洪刚联合创立“创客大爆炸”,推动创客在下一代的物联网平台的创新和创业。并且出任深圳开放创新实验室主任。

    Introduction for workshop Filming the Urban Teconology Ecology

    2017年1月4日开始,Space Caviar 在未来+ 学院举办了一个面向设计、建筑和影像制作专业学生的工作坊。工作坊期间,传统的调查研究、文档编制和使城市某一地点形象化的方法都在开放式的城市设计学习体验中与现代化的记录工具(手机相机,无人机,监控摄像头,微型摄相机等)相结合。

    如今,录制音频和视频,描绘城市空间是每个人都能够做到的。记录我们周围的环境及空间的关系变成了我们时常忽略其潜在力量的一项日常活动。 为了便于不同层面的市民快捷地理解某一个城市和再现街道、建筑和房屋的城市设计方法,我们结合了更加开放的再现方式以及工具材料来展示这些内容。

    Space Caviar produced a workshop with design and architecture and film making students in the framework of FUTURE+ Academy. During the workshop the traditional methodology of researching, documenting and visualizing an urbansite were merged with contemporary recording tools (phones camera, drones,surveillance cameras, micro cameras etc..) during a collective open learning urban design experience.

    In order to make the understanding of the city accessible to many disciplines the urban design methodologies of representing streets, buildings, and houses should be merged with more open and accessible representation methods and tools. Nowadays,recording both audio and videos and mapping urban spaces are actions which everybody has access to. Documentour surrounding and our relation with space became an everyday activity sometimes not being aware of its potential.

     

    相比设计者/研究者/专家们所常用的再现工具,如极具距离感的地图/图表/卫星图像等,实地深入到某一个城市的具体地点显得尤为重要。在以集体调研为基础的影像记录工作坊中,我们选定了城市中某个地点展开调查并记录,最后进行整理编辑。在整个工作坊里,我们突破传统手段用当代的记录方式,以整理收集某些地点和它们自身的故事,使其成为走进某个特定区域和居民的一条途径。

    A ground level encounter with a urban site is critically important in order tocontrast the representation tools used by planners/researchers/ experts such asmaps/graphs/satellite imagery which remain inaccessible and disconnected fromthe site.A site in the city was chosen, investigated, documented and edited during the making of a collectiveresearch based film documentation workshop. During the workshop contemporary recordings methodologies were confronted with traditional ones, documenting places and their stories were the approach to a specific urban site and its inhabitants.

    此次作为文本调研地点,选定的是组成华强北电子市场的四个片区。

    在带领学员们进入实地调查之前,先为大家预先介绍调研地点。为引导学员们完成最后的整体叙述及创作,将会事先在现场强调主要的调查项目和内容。

    学员们将会拿到调查地点的在线地图,以便于实时导航及进行兴趣主题的发掘和研究。

    还就调查方法为学员们做一个简单的介绍,比如影像和声音的记录、采访等,帮助学员将解读和调查的可能性最大化。从建筑和城市设计的视角出发,为明确此次在这两个现实语境下的工作坊活动,影像文献是展示和叙述现场的非常有价值的一种工具。

    Thelocation chosen as documenting field are the four urban blocks that compose theHuaquiangbei Electronic Market.

    Afirst introduction on the site will be given to students before bringing themin a few days field investigation. The main contents to be researched in locowill be highlighted in advance in order to guide the students in thecomposition of a collective narrative.

    Anonline map of the chosen urban site will be given to students in order tophysically navigate the space and choose thesubjects they are interested to discover and document.

    Ashort introduction on methodologies of investigations such us filming, audiorecording, interviews will be given to the students in order to introduce thebroaden possibilities to read and investigate reality.

    Introductionon filmography as a valuable tool for representing and narrating reality froman architecture and urban design perspective will be given in order to positionthe workshop activity in between two contemporary discourses: filming and urbandesign disciplines.

    第一阶段,寻找资源工具

    从华强北电子市场里,选择个人调查记录所需的工具(手机、相机,无人机,监控摄像头,微型摄相机等)。之所以走进华强北,是因其独特的创造性潜力,这里不仅是拥有任何技术部件的全世界最大的市场,而且有可供设计师,建筑师和城市设计者们把玩的最奇特、新颖、不为人知的记录工具。这个阶段,每位参加者将选择他/她自己的记录工具。

    Phase1 Sourcing Tools

    Fromthe Huaqiangbeielectronicmarket, recording tools will be selected as individual tools of investigation (phones camera,drones, surveillance cameras, micro cameras etc.). Huaqiangbei will be approached for its creative potentials. Not only as the biggest market in the world where anykind of technological component can be found but also for the most bizarre, unknown, new recording tools source for designers,architects and urban designers to play with. Each participant will chooseher/his own recording tool.

    第二阶段,调查/记录

    运用现代记录手段(采访、视频直播、手机地图系统等)走进城市调查点。学员们将被带入实地,并在基于深入现场的实际调查中给予指导,建立与当地的零售商,制造业者,采购人员之间的对话。参加者将会被分成若干小组,每个小组需选定一个在华强北内的建筑或落脚点。在选定的地点,每组选择一个或一组人物进行接触,建立关系。针对选定的地点和人物,进行不同的调查。这项城市设计研究将成为一次横跨复杂的建筑框架、物理空间和社会公共行为之间实实在在的调查。

    第三阶段,旁白/编辑

    每个记录将被集中分析,梳理其在调研文本材料中的价值。不同设备和工具拍摄的所有对话和影片将被收集组合在一起制作成一部合集。在此阶段,我们的整体创作及叙事将展示一座城市和人们的多元形态,并体现出大家对深圳——这个城市的整体理解。

    Phase2 Investigation/Recording

    Actionssuch as contemporary recording, interviews, live streaming, mobile phonemapping systems will be used to approach the urban site. Students will bebrought in the field and guided during a physical investigation based ondigging within reality. Conversations will be established with the actors ofthe place such as sellers, makers, buyers. A urban design research will becomea level grounded investigation between the complex architectural frame, thephysical network and the social behaviors. Participants will be divided ingroups and they will be asked to choose a specific building or corner of theHuaquiangbei urban frame. They will select within the chosen place one actor orgroup of characters to get in contact with and create connection with. Thedifferent investigations will be done on the chosen place and character.

    Phase3 Narrative/Editing

    Theindividual recordings will be analyzed collectively and worked out in order tounderstand the value in editing recorded material. Both conversations and filmscollected from different devises and through different tools will be puzzledtogether to compose a collective opera. In this phase the importance ofstorytelling in representing a urban and people pattern will guide thecomposition of a collective narrative which will be expression of a collectiveunderstanding of a piece of Shenzhen city.

    Space Caviar isan architecture and research studio operating at the intersection of design,technology, politics and the public realm. Founded in 2014 by Joseph Grimaand Tamar Shafrir, the office uses built work, exhibitions, publishing, writingand film to investigate and document contemporary modes of habitation and thespatialisation of social and political practice. Space Caviar’s work has been shown at the Venice Architecture Biennale, theVictoria and Albert Museum, Biennale Interieur, Vitra Design Museum and theMunich Film Museum, among others.

    Joseph Grima is an architect, writer and editor. He’s the Artistic Director of Matera European Capital of Culture 2019,and the director of the Ideas City conference and platform in New York. In2015, he was co—curator of the inaugural edition of the Chicago ArchitectureBiennial. Previously, he has served as Domus editor in chief, and co-curatorof the first edition of the Istanbul Design Biennial. He curatedvarious exhibitions and presented work in numerous international venuesincluding the Venice Architecture Biennale, New York’s New Museum of Contemporary Art and the Triennale di Milano.Between 2007 and 2010, Grima was directorof Storefront for Art andArchitecture, the New York gallery which is globally renowned for its role insupporting experimental practices in architecture and contemporary art.Grima hastaught architecture at several university institutes and he haspublished essays and articles in a large number of international magazines.

    MartinaMuzi is a designer, researcher and filmmaker born in Rome, currently living in Shenzhen. Hermultidisciplinary practice develops between the private and the public, thephysical and the virtual, the informal and the institutional, investigating howsocial relationsare embedded in or affect contemporary or future design and urban scenarios. Since 2014 she is part of the architecture anddesign studio Space Caviar in which she co-directed and co-produced films as 99Dom-ino and Blockchain. She graduated in 2013 from theSocial Design Master at the Design Academy Eindhoven with her thesis on gender roles and labourspaces in the design discipline. Her work was exhibited at Venice Architecture Biennale, Metropolitan Museum New York, Vitra Design Museum and Munich ArchitectureFilm Festival among others.

  • 生产化城市背景简介 Background Intro

    现在很多人在谈论“生产回归当代城市”。世界上大多数城市中,工业已经迁走或被驱逐,而现在城市却在欢迎新型生产,并且新型生产已在城区蓬勃发展起来。生活与制造的分离对工作岗位、知识和文化生产意识带来了严重后果。自Fab City倡议发起这场运动开始,已有16个城市作出保证并提供支持,这类作出保证的城市数目在快速增长中。

    Fab City倡议中的大多数城市都尚处在生产基础设施建设在城市中的初始阶段,深圳不在这个将生产完全迁出的城市之列,而且技术行业、制造业、创意产业正在这座城市蓬勃发展。对于“城市生产”等当代概念,深圳可作为生动的实验基地。

    一些地方进行的初步实验,如MakerMileMachine Room,巴塞罗那的Fablab Barcelona,已经表明,配置这些空间有助于激励城市空间内的创意产业发展,鼓励创新型初创企业在活跃社区内的有机联系。这种实验的空间,硅谷用的是车库,欧洲用的是废旧工厂,而深圳则可考虑使用城中村。因为从许多角度来看,城中村已为实验提供给了良好的基础设施,它为考察如何激励城中村内的新型创新社区创造了理想条件。这种便宜、灵活、混合用途的地方已在国际上被用作工作和生活的初创社区。

     

    There is much discussion on the ‘return’ of production to the contemporary city. In most global cities the industries have fled or been chased out of the city and now new models of production are being invited and emerging in urban areas. This separation of living and making has to a severe in jobs, knowledge, and awareness of cultural production. The movement manifested into Fab City initiative with 16 cities pledge to support and the number is growing rapidly.

    Most of the cities on the Fab City initiatives are at the initial stage of building up the infrastructures of productions in the cities. Shenzhen has not yet undergone this full removal of productions in the cities. And simultaneously, the tech, maker, and bottom up creative industries are thriving in the city. Shenzhen can serve as a live experimenting ground for these contemporary notions of urban production.

    Further, in some of the initial experiments conducted by the sites such as Maker Mile with Machine Room and Barcelona with Fablab Barcelona has shown that the installation of such space help to spur the creative industrial around the spaces and develop the neighborhoods into a lively communities for creative and innovative startups. The urban village is in many ways already have the infrastructures and it creates the ideal situation to examine how to spur these new forms of innovation communities at the villages. Where silicon valley used its garages and Europe used its old factories, Shenzhen can rethink its urban villages. These cheap, flexible, mixed use places are already being used by many both international and local as startup communities to live and work.

     

    从“创客空间”到“创客村”再到“创客城市”

    本次工作坊将研究2个潜在社区用于测试,包括沙尾和南头。研究将寻求理解当地社区资源,如:小型工厂、3d打印机、数控机床、设计师等;还会研究社区与深圳更大规模生产和销售网络的联系和数字发展;以及这一基础设施如何与FabCity等全球倡议相关。利用这些网络系统和互动地图,可对社区进行长期接触和投资。

     

    下一步是在城中村空出的空间中‘插入’制造空间——这将成为社区的催化剂。城中村已包含了许多生产型公司和人员,这将为他们提供公共空间,并提供鼓励儿童、老人、企业家、业余爱好者等加入。这种空间为社区制造物品,创造工作岗位/机遇,并培育社区联系。

     

    本次工作坊也是为2017年深港城市\建筑双城双年展活动做准备,该届展会就是在城中村举办。

     

    硅谷的创新/经济是在车库开始的,深圳的下一波创新将在城中村开始。开始这项研究时,我们要理解当前社区,立即采取措施建立空间,并在这一过程中吸引市民和全球社区参与。

     

    From MakerSpaces to MakerVillages to forming the MakerCity

    The workshop would research 3 potential communities for testing: Shuiwei, Baishizhou, and Nantou. The research would seek to understand the local community resources: small scale factories, 3d printers, cnc machines, designers, etc; as well as its links to the greater production and selling networks of Shenzhen and digital. And how this infrastructure would apply connect to global initiative such as Fab City.

    With these networked systems and interactive maps, this will allow for a longer term engagement, and investment in a community. With the next step being to ‘insert’ a maker space in a vacant space in an urban village. This will act as a catalyst within the community. The urban village already contains many productive companies and people. This will give them a common space as well as provide a space that encourages children, elderly, entrepreneurs, hobbyists, etc to join in. The space is about making objects for the community, creating jobs/business opportunities, and about fostering community linkages.

    This will lead up to an event/engagement for UABB 2017, which is set in urban villages.

    Silicon Valley’s innovations/economies started in garages, Shenzhen’s next wave of innovation will start in the urban villages. We start this research by understanding the existing communities, taking action to set up a space immediately, and engage the citizens and global community in the process.

    Based on the current situation in Nantou and some problems, our team brought up this idea of Y Oasis Eco Community. By inserting makerspace and making use of the leftover buildings, we want to activate the whole neighbourhood.

    Jason Hilgefort - 未来+ 学院院长,Jason曾在英属哥伦比亚大学攻读建筑硕士学位。他曾在纽约(Ehrenkrantz Eckstut and Kuhn)、洛杉矶(Behnisch Architects)、孟买(Rahul Mehrotra of GSD)等地工作。曾经在俄罗斯、乌克兰、巴西、芬兰、德国、意大利、中国和荷兰任教。杰森曾在维也纳举行的第十一届欧洲青年建筑师竞赛上摘获大奖。他后来成立了Land+Civilization Compositions(以鹿特丹和香港双城为基础的工作室)。他是2015—2016深圳香港城市\建筑双城双年展 的策展人和当年UABB学堂非常学院的院长。此外,他还加入了FUR(未来城市区域)项目。同时,他也是是uncube 杂志“建筑设计和其它(architecture and beyond)”专栏的撰稿人。

    Jason Hilgefort is the Director of FUTURE+Aformal Academy in Shenzhen. He studied at the University of British Columbia and the University of Cincinnati. He has worked with Peter Calthorpe, Rahul Mehrotra, and Maxwan A+U. He lead Maxwan’s competition victories in Helsinki, Basel, Kiev, Brussels, Ostrava, Hannover, and Lithuania before winning Europan 11 in Vienna. Jason academic experience includes Russia, Ukraine, Brazil, Finland, Germany, Italy, China and the Netherlands. He was a sub curator in the Shenzhen|Hong Kong Urbanism|Architecture Biennale and a co-director of its learning platform.

    李大维从1990年开始参与开源运动。他是自由软件基金会会员,Apache多个项目的代码提交者,ObjectWeb开源基金会理事。在过去的20年里,他创立了多个开源软件项目,同时也参与了其他许多相关项目。李大维在2010年联合创办了中国首个创客空间——新车间。他还为Arduino开发了最为热门的可视化编程环境Ardublock。最近两年他开始关注城市农业,积极倡导“鱼菜共生”的养殖方式,把开源精神融入到农业艺之中。2011年,他与Anna Greenspan 和 Silvia Lindtner 一同成立了 Hacked Matter,研究和出版草根开放创新的议题. 在2015年和李洪刚联合创立“创客大爆炸”,推动创客在下一代的物联网平台的创新和创业。并且出任深圳开放创新实验室主任。

    We are the first independent academy for urbanism, landscape, & public art in China. Our pedagogy emerges from the open innovation ecosystems of Shenzhen. The methodology of the PRD means designs and the city is made fast, tested and evolved. Traditional urbanism was about order; we embrace the unpredictable and the messy. This allows us to form a place for rapid response urban learning. We mine the gaps of the city to identify integral points for action. Our focus is not to instill a dogma but to facilitate individual’s learning ambitions. FUTURE+ is a hybrid research institute, think tank, and experimental laboratory. We have been formed by many of the same folks that set up and run the Shenzhen/Hong Kong Urbanism/Architecture Biennale and the Shenzhen Center for Design.

    深圳开放创新实验室主要包括Fablab推广及Fablab 2.0研发制造、创客创新创业教育、全球创客服务平台、产业链协作服务四个功能板块,致力于发展、挖掘全球创客项目及产品,研发解决方案来连接大规模生产生态系统和服务于小型硬件创业者;进一步推进深圳在数字智能硬件的开发和生产制造的国际地位,结合新的开源方式以及深圳现有敏捷制造系统,将深圳打造成为未来智能硬件的硅谷。

    Shenzhen Open Innovation Lab (SZOIL), established by SIDA and Maker Collider,is a space and platform for worldwide makers to communicate and cooperate. SZOIL is also the first Fab Lab in Shenzhen authorized by MIT CBA as a research and development partner of FabLab 2.0.

    SZOIL embodies four functions including Fab Lab promotion and FabLab 2.0 research and development, innovation and entrepreneur education courses for makers, global maker service platform, and industry chain collaboration service. The lab dedicates in exploring the issues and developing solutions to connect the massive production ecosystem to small hardware startups so as to promote the international standing of Shenzhen in the development of digital intelligent hardware and manufacturing and build a future intelligent hardware Silicon Valley by combining new open source method and current manufacturing system in Shenzhen.
